Lifeguard I
Town of Superior is accepting applications for part-time seasonal Lifeguard I position. This position reports to the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager. Duties include observing users of the pool(s), enforcing pool regulations, providing rescue assistance as necessary. Administers first aid treatment, provides emergency services and applies artificial resuscitation when needed. Assist in all other areas of pool operations as necessary. Work week and work hours will vary with assignments Monday-Sunday. Evenings, weekends, holidays and split shifts will be required. Approximately 15-25 hours per week. Current certifications in Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer required. Previous aquatic experience is preferred. Swim Instructor
Town of Superior is accepting applications for part-time seasonal Swim Instructor. This position reports to the Pool Manager and Recreation Supervisor – Aquatics and Athletics. Duties include observation of users of public swimming pool, enforce pool regulations, provide rescue assistance as necessary. Administers first aid treatment, providing emergency services and applying artificial resuscitation when needed. Requires knowledge of and demonstrated skills in life guarding, swim lessons instruction, CPR, First Aid, pool maintenance, personnel supervision, and public relations. Work week and working hours will vary with assignments Monday-Sunday. Evenings, weekends, holidays and split shifts may be required. Parks and Trails Ranger
The Town of Superior is seeking candidates for the position of Parks and Trails Ranger. This part-time seasonal position working between 20-39 hours per week reports to the Superintendent of Parks and Open Space and performs entry level duties related to assuring public compliance with laws, rules, regulations and guidelines governing use of park, trails and open space properties within the Town’s Parks, Trails and Open Space. Work week and working hours will vary with assignments Monday-Sunday. Evenings, weekends, and holidays will be required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college courses in Park and Recreation Management, Code Enforcement or related field desired. Minimum one year of park, recreation, law enforcement, or related experience desired. Must possess and maintain a current State of Colorado Driver's License with a clean record. Ability to obtain certification in First Aid and CPR within six months.
