The Town of Superior developed a Town Center Area Planning and Design Study in 2007. The purpose of the planning and design study is to develop a vision and concepts for land uses, building materials, density, parking, open space, pedestrian connections, public amenities, financing options, and site enhancements for approximately 160-acres south and east of US 36/McCaslin Boulevard interchange.
The Town Board hired Van Meter Williams Pollack (consultant planning team) to help explore the range of mixed-use development opportunities on the 160 acre site. The Town Board had five meetings with Van Meter Williams Pollack to discuss their vision for the Town Center Area beginning on May 7, 2007. There was a public meeting on the current Town Center Vision held at Town Hall on June 5, 2007. The Town Board had their final meeting with Van Meter Williams Pollack on September 10, 2007 to review the Town Center design guidelines, mixed-use opportunities, and future implementation steps for the Town Center Vision Plan.
The Town Board will be using the Town Center Vision documents they worked with Van Meter Williams to further develop the Town Center Vision Plan. Below are the two alternative plans adopted by the Town Board in 2007.
Alternative A
Alternative B
