Conversion of parking lot lighting to LED light bulbs

The Town has completed the conversion of its parking lot lighting to LED light bulbs at Community Park and other Town parking lot facilities. The Town received a $25,000 grant from the Governor’s New Energy Communities Grant to replace all of the Town’s 43 parking lot lights to LED light bulbs. The project is expected to reduce the Town’s energy consumption by 32,618 kWh per year and offset 61,974 lbs. of CO2 annually. This is equal to planting 9 acres of trees annually or removing 5 cars from the road annually.
