Trash
Trash removal for Original Town, Sagamore, and the Ridge is with Waste Connections. Rock Creek and Summit residents the trash is provided through Home Owner's Associations, with private trash companies.
Recycling
Curbside pickup is available to all residents within Superior. Contact your HOA or trash provider for more information about this service.
Curbside recycling is not available for residents who live in the Horizons at Rock Creek Apartment complex. However, they can recycle plastic, glass, paper and cardboard using the recycling container located between buildings 13 and 14.
YARD WASTE
The Yard Waste site will close for the season on November 16th. It will re-open for Christmas tree recycling on December 26th.
The Yard Waste Recycling Facility is open from April - November.
Days and hours of operation are:
Wednesdays 4:00 pm - Dusk
Saturdays 8:00am -12:00pm and 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Sundays 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Items that are accepted include grass clippings, small branches (6" in diameter or less), leaves and other organic yard material. Items that are not accepted include rock, sod and lumber. It is located on Honeycreek Lane next to the Waste Water Treatment Plant. This is between Saddle Brooke and the Horizons.
CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING
The Yard Waste Recycling site is open right after Christmas through the month of January for Christmas tree recycling. The recycling site is located next to the Waste Water Treatment Plant on Honeycreek Lane. Please make sure all ornaments, tinsel and decorations are removed from the trees.
The Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department along with the Recycling and Conservation Advisory Committee (RCAC) are currently researching options for expanding recycling opportunities in Superior. The Recycling and Conservation Advisory Committee was formed to examine the possibilities for expansion of current curbside pickup service including ordinances that would provide recycling to multi-family housing unit residents, assist in the evaluation of potential recycling center sites and make recommendations to the Board with respect to possible sources of funding for the implementation of recycling programs.
